Marisa was an extraordinary doula and I cannot recommend her enough.  Her presence throughout my labor was nothing short of transformational.  While I recognize that it was ultimately my own strength that carried me through, I often tell people that she was the reason I was able to labor without medication.  In my most challenging moments, when I genuinely wanted to give up and head straight to the hospital, she was the calm and steady force that helped me stay grounded and connected to my intention.  She created the most peaceful, supportive environment for our baby to enter the world.  An atmosphere filled with quiet strength, compassion and purpose.What stood out most was how she didn't just support me but empowered both me and my husband in the process.  She helped us trust the experience, trust each other and trust ourselves.  Having Marisa by our side made all the difference.  If you are considering working with her, know that you will be in the hands of someone who honors the process, listens deeply and shows up with her whole heart.  

If someone asks me what it was like having Marisa as my doula, I'd say she was an absolute rock star.  From the very beginning she was kind, compassionate, funny, and deeply present, truly listening to every part of my pregnancy journey.  I already knew she cared but when I went into labor for the first time my appreciation for her grew beyond words.  Marisa was my rock.  With every contraction, her gentle hands grounded me, reminding my body to relax with the softest touch on my forehead, shoulders back and legs.  Her presence is truly magic, I honestly don't know how I would have gotten through labor without her.  She never left my side from midnight when it all began, through every hour that followed, she was right there holding me, comforting me, encouraging me.  I remember falling asleep to her touch, and waking up to find her still beside me.  She supporting me with such grace and unwavering care.  Marisa will always hold a special place in my heart and in my family.  She is a gift I will never forget.  

If you are looking for a doula who is loving, kind and invested in your birth, Marisa is the doula for you.  She is knowledgable in so many things.  During my pregnancy, she helped me deal with issues with her homeopathic knowledge of herbs, vitamins and teas and also talked me down off my pregnancy edge when I carried past due and was very close to 42 weeks and potentially not getting the birth I had envisioned.  When we went into labor, she was there and supporting not just me but also my husband.  Marisa helped take away my fear and brought me back to center when I would panic during my contractions.  She laughed with us, cried with us, and was an anchor for me and my husband through my entire pregnancy, labor and postpartum.  She is one of the most beautiful souls with the most amazing heart.  Her energy that she gives in the birthing process, the feminine motivation you need to get thru hours of labor.  10/10 Marisa will be my doula for any further growth in our family.  We were blessed to find such an amazing doula to be involved in the birth of our son.  We started as customers and ended as family.  

We hired Marisa to be our doula for our first birth and we are SO glad we did.  Marisa has the most nurturing, calm, supportive presence, along with laughter and ease, everything you would want while going thru the labor experience.  She made me feel safe and encouraged throughout my labor, I did not want her to leave my side!  We love her so much.  Marisa will definitely be a part of our next births!

And while Marisa is nurturing, compassionate, and wise beyond words, she’s also fun! She’s goofy and real, like the cool auntie you didn’t know you needed in your life. Her humor and warmth made even the most emotional or overwhelming moments feel lighter and more human.

Marisa took in everything, my questions, my fears, my hopes etc, and offered real, honest, raw, yet always loving perspectives that nurtured me through the profoundly transformative path of pregnancy and into motherhood.

Then came labor and birth. And wow. Not only did she continue to be this nurturing, calming, compassionate presence (she gave me a hot stone massage and applied hip pressure through what felt like a thousand contractions!), but she also showed up with fierce intelligence and unwavering advocacy. I felt safe, truly safe, as she birth-sat with me until my midwife could arrive, holding space with grace and strength.

When I look back on my birth story, of course I see my baby and my husband, and my wonderful midwife (shout out to Tanya!). But Marisa’s steadfast, calm, and supportive presence holds such a bright, radiant spot in my memory.

Marisa didn’t just support me, she empowered me. I will be forever grateful for her care, her strength, and her presence during the most vulnerable and powerful experience of my life.
